Both Graphics Cards Running?

I'm trying to disable the integrated graphics card. I disabled "Automatic graphic switching" in the settings, but every time I view the About This Mac screen, both cards are listed. Is this as designed? I thought only one card should be listed (whichever is being used).

If only the Integrated card was running it will show one:

If the Discreet card is running it will show both, like your screen shot.

Yes by design.
