AirPods only working in one ear

I fell asleep with my AirPods in, which I woke up shortly after. I could only find one AirPod, so I put that in the case and decided I would ping the other one in the morning. I was sleeping on it, but when I started using it again, Only one of them worked. I checked the battery and they were both charged, though, the display which shows the battery between the two AirPods would switch back and forth in a glitching manner, instead of showing both percentages at the same time. I disconnected and reconnected, turned off and on Bluetooth, restarted my phone, but it didn't fix it. I tried again and the other one worked, but not both. So they still work, it is just that they don't work together, at the same time.

Thanks for the update! If the issue persists after the reset, then cleaning can absolutely help out, especially with regard to the charging case in particular. If there's any kind of debris interfering with the AirPods ability to make a good clean connection with the contacts in the charging case, you can often times experience the behavior you've described.

We look forward to hearing how it goes.

Take care!
