How to enable require password for an app that was previuosly installed but deleted later on?

I had downloaded an app on my iPad and deleted it after some time. I would like to enable Require Password option if I want to download same application again.

Is there a way to do this. Please help!

While it is possible for developers to build in password requirements for their individual apps, that has to be done by the developer specifically for their app. There is no feature in iOS nor iPadOS to password lock separate apps. So ask that app developer if they have plans to offer password locking for their app, as they are the only ones who can add that feature to their product.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response, however my ask is different. I don't want to password protect any app.

My question was, whenever we try to install an app from App Store, it asks us for password. If you try to install an app that was previously on your device but by any chance it was removed from device, it has a cloud icon and won't ask for password again.

I wanted to disable this feature. Apps should ask for password every time I download it from App Store, no matter if it is a fresh download or the app was earlier downloaded on the device.

Leanne's suggestion resolved my query. :)
