MacBook Pro running very slow

There are easily hundreds of MacBook Pro variants with different possible issues. And we are rather poor at guessing!

Please do "About this Mac..." from your Apple menu and tell us what shows there for "sub-model", the part with a year and possibly Early, Mid, or Late appended.

While there, also find and post the macSO version it is running and how much "memory/RAM' is installed.
