Samsung scanner/printer. Scanner not working

Samsung M288x , Does anyone have a workaround to get scanner working with 11.2.1 Big Sur?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 11.1

Be specific about the model name and number when applying an x in M288x, as Samsung made a boatload of devices with different numbers for the x.


If yours is the XPress SL-M2885, HP has a printer driver v3.93.11 released on Feb 11, 2021, but no obvious scanner driver. A networked Xpress {M2880FW, M2885FW, M2886HW} is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint and which would provide printing and scanner support through Apple's Image Capture, and not require HP software support.
