on my 2020 MacBook; Pro Security & Privacy General "Require password" is grayed out. I used my admin password to unlock the lock in the bottom left corner, however, I'm still not able to uncheck the grayed out Required password box.

It’s managed via MDM. Among other things, gives them the ability to set security policies that you cannot change even as an admin on the machine. You won’t be able to turn off the password requirement.
