12 Pro Screen is locked

My screen is locked on my phone. When I try to restart, I have to use the slide feature to shut down, but my screen is locked. How can I force a shutdown without needing to use the screen?

Got it unlocked. Thanks for responding so quickly. I wasn't holding the button down long enough to initiate the shutdown.
