I have an old iPad, maybe gen 2. Has not been turned on in years. its been on the charger for days. Will not turn on. While plugged into power the apple symbol comes on then goes off but it will not turn on. Ive tried to force on but still nothing.

While plugged into power the apple symbol comes on then goes off but it will not turn on. While plugged into my Mac computer with iTunes up I get nothing. iTunes can't see it. Ive tried to force on but still nothing. Is there any other way to get it on, is there any kind of a rest button.

Yeah,

Forget this almost 10-year old iPad.

It is no longer worth spending any more time or efforts with it.

All 8-10 year old iOS devices are obsolete now.

Apple ended support for these old devices back in 2016 and third party app developers abandoned these old iPad modelsmbwck in 2018.

There are virtually no more apps for these old iPads, any longer.

Please just recycle this iPad responsibly.

Sorry.

Time to really seriously consider a new iPad model OR a much, MUCH “newer” and less expensive, used iPad models, from better known, trusted Apple product/device retailers/resellers, locally or online, capable of running the latest iPadOS versions.

There are plenty of newer, older iPad models that can run the latest, current versions of iPadOS.

Sorry & Best of Luck to You!
