Whenever I start my Macbook, "Error while installing" shows and it says "Expecting value: line 1 column 1(char 0)". I don't use any coding languages like python.
Please let me know how to get rid of it. Thanks.

I’ve also been seeing this pop up error box on my MacBook Pro running the latest version of High Sierra version 10.13.6. I tried reinstalling the OS to correct it but it is still showing up. Choices on box are ‘cancel’ or ‘ok’. No clue what this is about
I downloaded the free version of Malwarebytes. (older version, because I still use El Capitan.)
Then ran scan. Picked up a number of issues. Malware places it in quarantine. Now I dont get that message anymore.
I had the same problem on my iMac. It’s funny how it happened to all of us in the same time frame...
Run Mawarebytes. Once I did that, it eliminated the malware and I never had that message come up again.
my mac is too old I think. It says this installation requires macOS Sierra (10.12), High Sierra (10.13), Mojave (10.14), Catalina (10.15) or big Sur (11).
I have no idea how to fix this - would you have any suggestions?

For about a month after about (3/15/21I've noticed this "error while launching" on two different 2013 Macbook Pro's running High Sierra. I wonder if it has something to do with buying stuff from "Wish" web seller. Wish has also been popping up when I'm searching on Amazon or other sites. They may run a background snipe program looking for keywords typed in. The other possibility is uninstalling Adobe Flash may have left some residual crap. I removed that about the same time as buying items on Wish. Anyone else find those same issues as a possible cause?
I don't know what 'Error while installing' is about either.
So I'll 'Cancel' the notice & see what happens at my next Mac startup

I have been getting the same error message on cold start, too.
It started just a few days ago.
I haven't had any new installs or updates. OS10.12.6
I have this problem on my mac.
Started for me on 27th Feb. No new installs to my knowledge., and so far, only on one out of three laptops.
Erased HD, clean install of Sierra, Time Machine restore.
Still get error msg on launch.
MacBook Pro 2015, Intel Core i7 2.3Ghz, OS Sierra, SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SSD, 8 GB Apple Ram

it started on mine (MacBook Air 2011) for a couple of weeks now.. i just click ok or cancel everytime.. 😏
Same here. We have the same model mac. I just start seeing this error about two weeks ago. I thought it would just go away but it still occurs.
This has been happening since Feb 26. I have a 2011 iMac running OSX10.9.5.
