AirPods are not pairing

Since a couple days ago my airpods have been acting up. I tried to pair them to my computer but only one ended up connecting (they are both fully charged), I thought it was similar to a glitch which I had gotten before but I tried pairing them to my phone and the same thing happened but the opposite airpod that wasn’t pairing for my computer ended up pairing to my phone. I’ve tried everything from this article and even some suggestions from youtube but nothing has worked. Can anyone help?
