My 2016 MacBook Pro 15" was completely stable when running Catalina but now crashes frequently with a kernel panic when going to sleep.
I have reset PRAM, SMC etc, run diagnostics in Internet Recovery. Diagnostics says nothing found. No kernel panic log is found Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports.
Attached is the Kernel Panic copied to a text edit doc from the send to apple screen.
Any ideas?

An update to this post. This MacBook Pro just came back from AppleCare with a new Logic Board, and Top Case with battery. The Kernel panics have returned and continue when the MacBook Pro goes to sleep.
I still tend to think that this is a Big Sur issue as it never occurred with Catalina. The software and kernel extensions are the same as the ones I had running in Catalina.
The kernel panic from the alert dialog box always points to "Suspected bundle: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily" Does this offer any clues?

After further investigation I believe that this is a Big Sur issue with this MacBook Pro (2016 15").
Turning off power nap in the battery system preferences appears to eliminate the recurring kernel panics.
Although turning off power nap has greatly reduced the number of occurrences I still had a kernel panic last night. Always related to transition to sleep mode.
I'm hoping Big Sur 11.3 will address this issue but seeing as I am the lone person on this thread I'm not expecting much. Will post again after the update.

I have discovered that iStat Menus is the cause of these kernel panics. I have uninstalled iStat and the computer has returned to normal operation.
Well, I am happy to report that after the Big Sur 11.3 update the kernel panics have ceased. Not one.
What a relief to have a normal functioning Mac again.
Follow up... Not one kernel panic since the Big Sur 11.3 update.
