Request for Change: To edit the sources of the News widget.

Why can’t we change the sources that feeds the News widget. Only one story is shown in the widget and most of the time it is IMHO non-News.

my RFC is:

a shortlist of news items.
Options to select news sources.

Can you edit the preset news choices in Apple News? Is there any way a user can decide what news they want to see in the preset section? I want to see what I want, not what someone else wants or thinks I should see. I don’t want to automatically see election news, coronavirus news, etc. I am the user I should be able to decide what and where I get my news.

Is it possible to not show news headlines from Apple News + ? In the Apple News App I see headlines for Apple News +, even though I never subscribed to Apple News +. Is there anyway to stop seeing the headlines from Apple News + in my news feed?
