Only one AirPod is connecting at a time.

My airpods are not working properly, only one is connecting at a time. I put my right one on that one connects and if I put the left on that one connects. Ive restarted the airpods, forget the device from the phone, clean the airpod and nothing is working. Can you help please. I bought them about two months ago
