Is it possible to select a default audio input device

My laptop is paired with bluetooth headphones that have a mic. I would like it if there is a way to select the mac's mic as the default input and keep it that way when I disconnect the headphones and connect back again.

Looking at the preferences → audio input I can make that change but there is no way to mark it as the default ...

Is there a command or something that I can try to make this happen ?

MacBook Pro, OS X 10.11

Look at your Audio Midi Setup utility in Applications -> Utilities.
