FCPX: I moved (not copied) files from one Library to another Library on an external drive. But the files are still using space on the original drive and the new drive. But the files are no longer in the original Library. How is this happening?

Were those clips by any chance used in any project or compound clip in the original library?
If so, I don't think they'd be removed until that project or clip is itself removed.
That would be like when you remove a clip from the browser (control-click, Move to Trash); if that clip is used in a project it will stay but be hidden.

Where are the video files used in the library stored, inside the library or outside? Did you move the files inside the application from one library to another, or did you move files from one library bundle to another?
Screenshots of what’s happening on your system where would help understand what’s going on.
I believe that is the case.
I'm all good now though.
I verified the files had been copied to the external library. Then deleted them from the Originals folder in the finder.
Thank you all for your help. Without your input, I would be purchasing more drives unnecessarily.
Libraries will remember their settings until you Modify them.
After modifying your stuff goes to the NEW location/s:

I moved approximately 330 Gigs of media files.
The destination Library has Increased by 330 Gigs.
But the original Library hasn't Decreased at all.
What drives are the libraries on? The properties say In Library, but is that were the media is stored or was it left in place? Did you reboot?
Each library is on a separate external drive.
The media did transfer as evidenced by the increase in data present on the drive.
Yes, I did reboot.
