2nd Gen & 3rd Gen Apple TV's on same network / Same User account

I have my new ATV connected via ethernet and the older 2nd gen on wi-fi - When signing in I get the 2 factor authorisation on my iPhone but there is no where on the second gen ATV to add a code? I am in a endless loop of frustration - How do I log in with the same user account please?

  • Apple TV asks for Apple ID password, enter it.
  • An authentication code will be sent to your iPhone or iPad or Mac.
  • Apple TV asks for the Apple ID password again, enter it followed by the authentication code. For example if your Apple ID password is XYZ123 and the authentication code is 4567 enter XYZ1234567
  • Do this quickly or it will time out!
