Time Capsule 2TB Model No: A1409 don't work anymore
Hi there,
The led and the disk no longer work but the fan is running correctly.
I changed the power supply but nothing has changed.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Have a nice day.

The A1409 Time Capsule was discontinued in June 2013 so it is about 8 years old and as much as 10 depending on when the product was purchased and placed into service.
Even if you can get the Time Capsule working again, you would not want to trust an 8+ year old hard drive in the Time Capsule with important data that you cannot afford to lose, because the hard drive is now overdue to fail.
If you want to try to get the Time Capsule going again for fun, try "baking" the main circuit board to reflow the solder using the instructions from Time Capsule expert LaPastenague. Details below:

It should be possible to get the TC running again.. follow the instructions carefully.
The age of the TC shows in the protocols supported. SMB1 for windows and AFP for Mac. Both are deprecated.
This applies to the AC model as well. Apple did not improve the unit in any way except faster wireless. The HDD speed is pretty much identical between Gen4 and Gen5 TC.
Take Bob's warning carefully.. You can have a bit of fun oven baking the board.
However do remember this is olddy mouldy from the archive equipment.
For the average DIYer look at Xpenology or buy the real thing.
First of all, I have to look if the disk still work, then I'll leave a comment about the oven technic ;-)
Thanks anyway
