Library folder randomly appeared in Documents

Just to confirm that this is an issue with Creative Cloud. Adobe has acknowledged it on Twitter. See also this discussion: Empty library folder appeared in documents.

Based on apple stack exchange, this seems to be caused by Adobe CC. See link here:

Do you have iCloud Drive enabled perhaps?

Do a Get Info on it, CMD+i keys, what path does it list under where?

How About a Get Info on that Library folder?

Theres aLibrary folder at root that you do not have access to, as well as the hidden Library in Users folder.

iCloud Drive is a big problem for many, did you enable it on purpose?

Do you have a Library folder in your User's folder?

Apple hid the Users' Library folders...

Method 1:

1. From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.
2. In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go

And another at root of the drive?

So, is it a different user or what?

Do a Get info on your Home folder, unlock the lock in the Get Info panel. Make sure it says you have Read & Write privileges.

Using the tiny gear icon, use the drop down to "Apply to enclosed items...

Is this a weird creative cloud feature? I also JUST had this show up and the only thing that (likely automatically) updated would have been an adobe app. Comforting to know this is happening to other adobe users.

So weird, this also happened to me, and it happed on March 4 as well! Mine showed up after something I was working on crashed, and I restart the computer. Mine new inaccessible Library folder is inside the documents folder on my iCloud drive though. I followed some steps here on this page, and change it to "read and write" but it still didn't give me access. It does say it has zero bytes inside the folder though. It's just so odd.

Thanks, yes, it appears I have another Library folder that is accessible and "normal." I think the iCloud Drive has been enabled since I had the computer - I rather like it, and haven't had any problems with it other than this mystery Library folder. Thanks for the help!

I have the same thing! I don't believe anything updated other than maybe Creative Cloud.

Did anyone figure this out? I also have the same issue - & use adobe creative cloud, which I regally update!
