I have just bought a BenQ PD2700U monitor. It comes with various cables but not the one I need to connect directly to my MacBook Pro 16” (2019).
I already have a USB to USBC adaptor and so I have connected this to the USB cable which came with the monitor but my MacBook Pro is not displaying on my BenQ.
Any ideas what I should do? Thanks. I’m a graphic designer but when it comes to cables I’m so not techy!

thank you. I’ve just bought a Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cable. Does this sound correct to you? The screen is displaying from my MacBook Pro now so I’m assuming I’ve solved the issue in the right way?
