Slow upload and Write speeds from Ipad Air 4

Hi everyone

Am experiencing very slow write speeds (to external harddrive) and upload speeds (Dropbox). For the former i can easily transfer files across to my ipad but as soon as I transfer from Ipad to Hard drive (3 gigs) nothing happens. Have tried formatting to exFat and FAT32 and it just gets stuck on the load screen.

For uploading to dropbox it is a snails pace. I started uploading the same 3gigs at 11pm yesterday and its 4pm now and barely half way to completion.

Is there any way to increase the speed of these transfers? It seems the transfer just doesnt work from ipad to other devices.

Running most recent version of Mac ios 14.4

Have tried resetting etc

Many reports have been seen relating to poor performance of the native Files App. You may have more success using a third-party File Manager App.

There are many from which to choose in the App Store - but a few have good reputation and following. Here are two such examples:

Its not based on the ISP as transferring data from ipad to hard drive doesnt use internet. For upload to dropbox I have done it on my PC at a much greater speed. The problem is on the ipad side.

Those speeds are based on what your ISP gives you. Ask them for help.
