macOS Catalina how to upgrade the Apache httpd

I have upgraded my laptop from Mojave to Catalina.

I do not use my laptop with any of the Apache Services.

My current version of Apache httpd is: Apache/2.4.41

My security team told me that I need to update to Apache/2.4.42 or later.

How do I do that? Can I run a simple command line that update the Apache httpd version to 2.4.42 or later.

Thank you for your help.

Apache configuration file is overwritten when you upgrade, macOS Big Sur:

Server version: Apache/2.4.46 (Unix)

Server built: Dec 21 2020 18:03:44

For Catalina you can reference—

this means that I can not upgrade my current version of Apache? I can not upgrade my laptop to BigSur, I need to stay with Catalina and I can not install brew. So that means that whatever was updated from Mojave to Catalina there is no way to update the Apache version? Or maybe I need to wait for a native Catalina Update OS that will update the version of Apache? I am little confused. Thanks

So I guess (without using any additional third party software like Brew or Namp or etc.) the only way for me to upgrade my Apache httpd to a newer version is to:

Solution one

Maybe somehow Apple will release a native macOS Catalina Security Update that somehow will contain a new updated version of Apache httpd

Solution two

I need to upgrade my macOS from Catalina to BigSur and by doing that BigSur will automatically upgrade my Apache httpd version to a newer version

I am correct?
