delete

how do I delete photos from the album area the delete button is greyed out.

If you are talking about the photos that display when you click on the Photos item in the media sidebar, you cannot delete them. They are just referral thumbnails that are not yet in the iMovie library. You would need to go to your Photos library in the Photos app to delete them.


If you are talking about something else, would you provide more details? Plus a screen shot?
