How to move a group of iPad contacts to iCloud?
On my iPad I have two groups: "iCloud" and "iPad." The group "iPad" is apparently not in iCloud and thus will not synch on my computer.

Hi BillGS,
Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today getting all your contacts into iCloud. It appears you have seen the iCloud Contacts article.
What have you tried so far? Did you switch off Contacts and then switch them back on in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud?
"On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
All of the information stored in Contacts uploads to iCloud."
Also see: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync.
Have a fantastic day!

I spent hours both chatting online and on the phone with Apple Support. It's not clear what happened, but the contacts on my iPad evolved from one iCloud and one "iPad" account to THREE (3) iCloud accounts and the"iPad" account. Suddenly there was only a single iCloud account in Contacts, hopefully containing all merged cards from all other mysterious accounts.
I wish I knew how it happened so that I could relate that to you, but I do not know.
Oddly, I later learned on my iMac that the iCloud account had disappeared. Thankfully it has now been restored.
Thanks for your interest and your help.
