logic board cost

I had my mac book air got checked as it was not starting up, customer service have told me that my logical board has damaged and needs to be replaced. Can you please let me know what would be the cost of logical board of

MacBook Air 13 inch 2017 (Out of warranty)

2018 Macbook Air 13.3 Logic board Broken Bought a new 2018 Macbook Air as a Christmas gift with 1 year limited warranty. A bit over a year, the laptop can't be turned on and was told it's the logic board issue. Apple wants to charge me $500 to replace the logic board because it's out of warranty(two month after warranty to be exact). How come the logic board gets broken in just over a year in the first place?

Failure of new Macbook within 21 months, does it make sense to spekd $700 for $1100 Any one faced failure of logic board within 21 months of purchase of 13” MacBook Air ? Repair cost of logic board is 60% of price of MacBook with only 3 months warranty. I am told it’s only 1 year warranty , now regretting for not buying additional warranty for reputed brand.
