How to delete "DataVaults" from Trash?

Recently, through System Preferences, I deleted

a User from my macOS Catalina (10.15.7) (also in

the process I chose the command to delete it),

but after a few days I found out that the User

Folder remained in the Finder.

I decided to throw this User folder in the trash bin,

I deleted the Trash. And since then, has remained

in the Trash Bin a folder named 'Data' that is

impossible to delete!

As I saw, inside the 'Data' folder, there is an

invisible file called 'DataVaults'.

It is impossible to delete it,

even if I use 'sudo rm' commands in Terminal.

Any help?

Fixing This:

Install the MacOS Anew, then Migrate:

To delete this, you need to reinstall manually. The file would be deleted. So, you'd backup the Mac, erase the hard drive, Install the macOS anew, and then migrate it back from the backup first mentioned. Is things cannot be transferred, then contact the Developers. I'm no so certain how long a backup would take, but you'd need to back it up prior to the new install, if no recent backup already exists.

Step-by-step:

  1. Create: a Time Machine Backup using an external Hard Drive
  2. Install: from a USB Installer created for macOS 10.15 Catalina
  3. Migrate: items from your TMB
  4. Download then Install: the applications, getting the installations back from the Developers.

I kid you not. See here: Adobe Flash Player Uninstall Message Pops Up - Apple Communities

There is one file that could not be delete. So, I spoke with Apple, did research, and a full, clean reinstall ended up fixing it all. So, it's a 3 page thread, but it you read it, you'll see what I am getting at.

"Kid me or kid me not" if you want…

however, my situation is completely different.

Your problem came from a third-party developer,

but my problem came from macOS and a

remaining folder/file, after deleting a user through

System Preferences.

You need to consider this difference before

suggesting to people that erase all their

internal disks.

Do not bother to give such extreme advice

before a very thorough consideration of the matter.

And I would ask you to stop answering in my

discussion thread because you make the

process of solving my problem more difficult ..

Thank you for understanding!
