iPhone 12 Pro camera delay and quality.

Hello,

ever since I got my new iPhone 12 Pro (I ordered it off AT&T & had it shipped to me, first time I ever done that) my camera has a delay issue? From the time I press the capture button to when the phone actually takes the picture is very delayed. Resulting in my habit of taking the photo & moving after & the picture is of movement. If I actually waited until it took the picture, that’s between a 10-20 second wait which gets aggravating since all my previous iPhones never did that.

I have restarted the phone MANY times since owning it & it is up to date on the latest iOS 14.4.1 software. Is there a way to fix this or have I had a dud iPhone from the start?

Sorry for the late response.

More often than not, the slowing down of your iPhone's camera might be due to your excessive junk files and not having enough free space as well to accommodate all your files. Moreover, there could be a chance of unnecessary background apps that are still running.

Depending on how dark the scene is, your iPhone might take a Night mode photo quickly, or it might extend the shutter time for several seconds. Also another case may be flash mode activated, I would recommend taking that off as well it can extend the time heavily up to 10+ more seconds.

If the camera delay still continues to happen, I highly advise you resetting your entire iPhone.
