I've never been able to copy/paste a track to a new project on Garageband, but everyone online says it should work. I select the track, copy it, open a new project, create track of the same type, and then there is no paste option. This has been the case for me on different computers over a period of years, so it's not just my mac. Why does this work for so many people but not for me?? Any help would be appreciated!
It is working form me in GarageBand 10.4.2.

Hiii. Um that link just explains how to copy/paste generally which I can definitely manage haha. The problem is that it doesn’t allow me to copy a segment from one project and paste it in a separate project. I copy it or cut it, open a new project, and try to paste it in that new project (same type of track) but there is never an option to paste. Why doesn’t this work? It seems like such an obviously necessary feature...
