The partition map needs to be repaired (error code -69766)

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question.

Disk Utility shows error code -69766 when I run First Aid on my MacBook Air's SSD. I've seen a solution that involves booting into Recovery Mode, erasing the SSD, reinstalling macOS (I'm running Big Sur 11.2.3), and then restoring the apps and data from a backup.

I have a current Time Machine backup. After I've erased the SSD, would selecting "Restore from Time Machine" in macOS Recovery reinstall macOS as well as my apps and data, or would I need to select "Reinstall macOS Big Sur" first and then do the Restore option?

Thanks for your reply - it gave me the confidence to go ahead and try. The SSD erased successfully. When I choose "Restore from Time Machine," I don't know if there's something weird about the way I've configured my MacBook, but it told me that I had to run Migration Assistant after I chose "Reinstall macOS Big Sur." Regardless, you got me from where I was to where I needed to be. A big thanks to you.
