Panorama knob

Hello people, this is probably an issue that the apple developers can fix...

In logic pro X I notice that the pan knob is not able to be set to equal values in both sides

Left can go full - 64 but right can only reach +63

Besides from this I would also love the ability to import from Cubase via AAF but this function is not currently working, events are not synced properly.

Latest version of Logic 10.4.6 Serious Midi/Automation Flaws First I noticed that setting the quantize in the dialog box on the arrange page does not work. Midi info is un-quantized when played into Logic even if the dialog box is set to a quantize value. I have to quantize the regions separately or go into note editor. Now I noticed that my Access Virus TI will control the plugin but Logic will not record automation any more from knob moves on the desktop unit. The knobs will control the plugin but no automation is recorded. I have to mouse the knob on the plugin to record any automation which renders the desktop unit useless. Used to work fine in previous Logic versions. I contacted Access about this issue and this is their response: We have reports that something in this regard broke in the very latest Logic Pro X release from Apple. This worked perfectly fine before with the Virus TI OS 5.1.7 and other 10.4 releases of Logic Pro X, so at this point we can only recommend to report this to Apple's support. The more reports they get in this direction, the higher the chance this gets fixed again by Apple. So I am hoping someone from Logic who has the power to fix these problems will do something here. I have never in 20+ years had to go online here to post bugs but these are big ones that might underline a more serious flaws in the new version. Can I go back to Logic 10.4.5?

plugin problems If I want to use instruments such as Cinematic Strings hosted within the Kontakt 7 player app., if I click on the Kontakt logo in the plugins list, in the past it would load the Kontakt GUI with a list of choices, Cinematic Strings being one of them and I'd then click on that item and its user interface would then load. Now it just loads the list shown in this screenshot and I don't know how to get back the proper user interface view. Same thing happens with some other external plugins, but not the in-house ones like compression, amps etc. The same thing is happening in Logic. I reset my Keystation 88 back to its factory settings in case I'd triggered the above list in error and it had stuck with that as a default one instead, but nothing changed. I've plainly done something basic in error and hopefully someone will nod their head and say I'm an idiot and all I need to do is. . . .! Help needed please. I recently updated to Monterey but I can't be certain this issue only happened after doing so.

It is not an issue. It is derived from MIDI, which knows 128 values: (-) 63 + 64 = 127 values + 0 = 128 values. With -64 and =+64 you'd have 129 values, which is not binary and therefore completely unworkable.

-63 is full left, +64 is full right. panning to the left gives indeed a super slight mathematical difference, that is of no practical consequence. for instance: 20 is actually 19.6875. Nobody can hear that difference, not even with a million dolar headphone and amp combination on a blind audio engineer. They could leave out 0, but then there would not be a "dead center". And dead center is more important than the inaudible difference between panning at 20 or 19.7.
