Problems syncing workouts from Peloton to Apple Watch

I am having the same issue as this prior comment (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252020895) - my Peloton workouts show up in health app, but are not showing the rides as workout minutes on my watch or Activity app if I don’t remember to open the peloton app right after my ride. However, the response to that thread does not address the problem so asking again for further clarity.

As stated, the workouts are showing up in the app (after connecting to the Peloton app) but no updates are made to the activity rings. The link in the response states “THINGS TO NOTE

Workouts taken on the Bike or Tread will only appear after you open the Peloton Digital App on your iPhone. Workouts can be uploaded in bulk. For example, if you take a Yoga class on Monday, Tread class on Tuesday, and cycling class on Wednesday, and then open the app on Friday, all the workouts will sync at once automatically.”

If I forget to open the Peloton app and then open the Health app to link to Activity (which seems like too many unnecessary steps!), is there a way to get this data to link after the fact?
