In 2020s, can I use iPod Classic with Apple CarPlay Music app?

Hi,

I still like to use my 6th Gen iPod Classic (160GB) on my car.

I want to install an aftermarket car stereo on my used car. But for some reason, I can't find the language no the Internet whether I can plug my iPod Classic through 30 pin to USB on my stereo and control my iPod from the stereo, or in this case, the Music app on Apple CarPlay.

I'm assuming the Music app on Apple CarPlay is not much different from the Music app on Mac os.

I haven't got a smartphone and don't want to be online all the time, but if it can work just for driving think it could be useful. any more knowledge on the iPod touch appreciated. thanks

iPod Touch compatibility with Apple Car Play I just recently purchased an iPod Touch 6th Generation model, and just read that Apple CarPlay doesn’t support iPods, which is very disappointing☹️ Why hasn’t Apple developed a way for iPod users to connect to Apple CarPlay???🤔
