3 monitors on the Mac Mini M1?
Does the Mac Mini M1 work with 2 x displays and 1 x iPad using sidecar?
I need 3 monitors for work, and want to replace my ageing MBP (but can't afford a new one and they don't allow for 3 displays anyway!).

Should work. The two-monitor limit is a hardware restriction caused by only a single DisplayPort channel input being fed to the Thunderbolt/USB-C bus. People have used Airplay to indirectly add a bonus display in the past on the intel mini. I can't think of any technical reason the same wouldn't be true with Sidecar on an M1 mini, but you would be one of the first to attempt this.

Use multiple displays with your Mac - https://support.apple.com/HT202351
"If you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, you can connect a single external display to your Mac using one of the Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports. Docks don't increase the number of displays you can connect as an extended desktop."
So according this video it seems as if this is a possibility https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2yKF3-qmig
Perhaps I need to be clearer in my question....sorry if I caused confusion:
I want to buy a Mac Mini M1.
The specs state that you can use two monitors with the M1 Mini via the HDMI and a USB port.
Can you also use Sidecar at the same time to connect an iPad to use as a display?
This configuration would mean there are two wired displays and an iPad all being used as displays.
Thanks.
