My new 2020 Mac Book Air has a small scratch on the screen. I tried using some toothpaste to remove it, but still it will not come off. Does anyone have any experience with removing scratches from their screen? What did you use? Did it work?
I would not even try to use anything on the screen except a damp soft cloth because you may cause far worse damage on anything that isn’t glass.
Sorry, can’t remove it. And you may just want to re-think letting cats scratch it - today’s screens are so thin that a deeper scratch may result in having to replace the entire upper assembly since everything is glued together. That would be rather expensive.
It's very small. You're right, it's not worth the risk. Besides, when I had cats their claws would scratch the screen pretty easily. I'm getting cats agains so I'll just look at like it's not a big deal. I think I'll go ahead and remove this question. Thank you.
I appreciate your help. Honestly, I don't know that I allow my cats to scratch the screen. I'm not that permissive. So it's not by choice for sure. Sh happens. They basically tend to want attention when I'm on my computer. Thank you.
