Battery not charging

My my iPad Pro battery icon flickering on and off (mostly off)—and will not hold to charge the iPad. Any thoughts on this?

Charges only when off, Charging indicator on. My ipad loses power while plugged into charge and playing a video or Zoom even though the charging icon is active. It stays at the charge if nothing is playing and it is inactive but on. It charges when turned off. What is happening?
