SMS/text issues

I’m able to send texts to other apple users without an issue but sending to android I’m getting a lot failed delivery, delayed texts and and recipients are reporting getting multiple texts from me. I have iPhone se 20 and and a newish SIM card. I replaced the old due to the same issue. Have now ordered another sim which will be the third one but I’m wondering if this is an apple issue rather than an issue with Verizon. Texts were working fine until 3 days ago. If have done all the recommended troubleshooting short of a factory reset.

any suggestions?
