target disk mode...

I have read that Target Disk Mode will work with a 2009 27" iMac (to be use as a second monitor). Am I to read into that statement that my 24" Early 2009 iMac will not work in Target Disk Mode no matter the iMac that I will be connecting it (2009) to?

I think you mean Target Display Mode and no, it won't work.

Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support
