How do I delete not archive emails by swiping left in the mail app?

Every time I want to delete an email, it only gives me the option to Archive. I used to be able to swipe left and delete. How can I fix this?

iPhone 11, iOS 14

as far as I know the only account that that uses Archive as default option rather than Delete is GMail. Go to your GMail account settings on your iPhone, then under Advanced option change move discarded messages from Archive Mailbox to Deleted Mailbox. After the change is done, tap < Account in upper-left and confirm account configuration change by tapping on ‘Done in upper-right.

If your account is not Gmail but some other, the steps are pretty much the same.
