Hi Mch877 my problem actually ended up being my VPN. I was stressing out for days trying everything, until someone told me to disconnect my VPN and then everything worked properly again. Was then able to restart VPN without issues

I am having issues connecting to different apps. Doesn’t matter is I’m connected to WiFi. Reset my network settings. Ensured No VPN connection.

Your phrasing here can be inferred to mean that there is an add-on VPN app installed here.

If you have a VPN add-on installed, remove the app entirely, restart the iPhone, and try again.

If no VPN app was installed, update your iPhone to current—that's 15.0.1 at present—and try again.

I still don’t know how to delete the VPN. There is no option to delete in settings. Only off and on. Please advise. This is my sons phone and I can’t fix it which is causing life 360 and others not to work.

I’d keep either return it to your son, or (with permission) keep removing the add-on “security” apps until you get back to a working system, or (if this is intended to be your phone) reset it and reload and switch to your own Apple ID and related; to make this iPhone yours.

NortonLifeLock 360 was reportedly including a cryptominer in some of its versions, too. Probably not iOS and iPadOS, but not a product nor a product feature I’d prefer to have on my systems.

Hi. Turning the vpn off is an ok workaround, but unless these apps are geo-restricted in some way, why, exactly, are these apps not working?

my Amazon app on iOS 16.1 says “no internet” when I try to check my orders. This was not a problem for me until 16.1, which fixed some things but apparently broke others; the app is still the same, the vpn and server are the same - but 16.1 installed and now I have to disable vpn to connect to the Amazon app. I use a paid vpn for security and to protect transactions, not to access shows from different countries. This should not affect the shopping app. So. Did 16.1 mess up the DNS settings or something else. Because the iOS upgrade is the only variable that has changed.
