Some apps say no internet connection

The same thing happened to me. I drove 40 miles to the nearest Apple Store, and the staff fixed it in about 30 seconds. I have a third-party VPN on my 13, and the genius bar member told me the phone already has a VPN, and sometimes the software conflicts.

Are you using VPN? Do you have any antivirus or other garbageware on your phone that promises to make it more secure or more efficient?

Guys, go to settings and search VPN on the search bar. Click it, and click delete VPN. It might not be enabled but it had always been the problem

I had this same issue but I didn’t have a vpn on my phone. What fixed it was changing from LTE to 4G. Hope this helps someone.

So, for me, it was the VPN trying to connect. Apparently, I must've forgotten to turn it off and it ran out of space allowed....thus, trying to connect, but unable to.

Does this happen on Wi-Fi, cellular data, or both?

If on Wi-Fi, check out recommended settings for your router.

It absolutely CAN be the VPN. A VPN connection can reroute you to any node anywhere in the world, and you have no control over where the VPN’s termination is. If the VPN terminates in a different country than where you are located the access rules for apps in that location will apply, rather than your actual location.

Hi guys, i found these tweaks useful coz i had the same issues…go to wifi settings and turn OFF ‘Ask to join other networks’ …so it is only interested in your internet.

And also in Hotspot turn it to ‘Notify’

Delete any VPN from your Settings. Even though I had VPN turned off, I kept having the issue until I deleted some VPN I didn’t install myself, then the problem cleared up.

Restart the Wi-Fi router.

Also check for a firmware update available from the router vendor, if any update is available.

I deleted the VPN on my iphone 8Plus, now all my apps are connecting to the internet again. My VPV was automatically added by my wireless provider.

This was my problem for Amazon music! The cellular data setting was turned off somehow in settings.

still can’t figure out FaceTime.

I’ve been having this problem on and off, the only 2 things that I found out that temporarily fixes it that day is to open settings and to the WiFi on your phone. Click it then back out and close settings and go back to the app.

the other way is to open the app for your WiFi and and click the connection check and do the test ( tells you the upload and download) close the app and return to your problem app.

How can you delete the VPN?
