Apple CarPlay distorted audio

Hello everyone, when I’m driving for more than 45 minutes- 1 hour I’ll have Apple CarPlay going and it will always get a distortion on the audio and start making cracklings sounds. The only way I’ve found to temporarily solve the issue is to unplug and plug my phone back in, but that only solves the issue for about 30-45 mins. I’ve already turned sound check on and off and that didn’t help. Any help would be much appreciated!
