I reset my watch and now when I try and pair it it says to update, but the update wont go through...

Make sure both the phone and watch are connected to the network and you are signed in. If the update fails during download, check the watch when it is at the charger and if a passcode prompt is pending there. You should see a bit more progress status under Settings > General > Software Update there.
