Why can’t Siri play songs that I own, that are stored in a linked iTunes library, through my AppleTV?

There are 25k+ songs in my iTunes library, meticulously curated, that I play on my stereo via an Apple TV 4K over WiFi with only minor glitchiness. Why cannot Siri, when asked via the AppleTV remote, play these songs?? For some reason I need an Apple Music account? Bullcrap!!

Apple Music - SIRI/Apple TV Ever since the iOS 17, TVOS and MAC OS update I can no longer get SIRI to play a playlist on my HomePod. She says there is an issue and to try again. Search for a song in my music library I don’t have a subscription to Apple Music. I want to find out if I have a song in MY music library in my iPhone. When I say “hey Siri search for “Song’s name“ I get an error message, “sorry I cannot find this song in Apple Music” is there a way I can “force” Siri to search in my library?

Does the Apple Music stock app have to be installed to use 3rd-party music apps? I would like to buy another app more favourable to offline music libraries to use on my iPhone with iOS 15. However, from what I am seeing, most alternatives state that the Apple Music app must be installed for their app to work. I don’t use online music subscription services as I have a large collection of CDs and the Apple Music app is getting worse at searching my offline music library via Siri. Therefore, I would like to get rid of it and use a music app which Siri knows is not part of Apple’s online music service. Siri and the older versions of the stock music app used to work great but this new ‘Apple Music’ monstrosity is like a retrograde step when using Siri to search my offline music collection.

Siri can search online, but can’t search your Home Sharing library.
