Hi, the emoji's on my Mac Pro are only partially displayed, meaning some are, some aren't. Although Apple Emoji's are activated through Fontbook (and Suitcase) I still get mixed results. Ranging from Finder to Safari and Aple MaiI. I made a few screenshots to look at. And there's an EtreCheck. Any ideas? TIA!

Not only web pages. As you can see in the screenshots in the first post, the issue also happens in OSX Finder, Safari/Facebook and Apple Mail. So, if Opera/Firefox seem to do a better job, we can expect that the emoji's on a FB-page will be shown as they are. That leaves us with OSX Finder and Apple Mail.
They could be anything Tom. This is not a heart issue but an emoji-wide issue. I made those screenshots a few days ago waiting for a moment to create a post. I have to gather new examples again before I can post back what you request.

This afternoon I cleaned out my mailboxes so no examples of page content in Apple Mail for now. However, in the subject line the emoji's do work:

Before it was an Instagram page. Could you provide the url of the linked in page so we can try to duplicate?

Thanks Tom. The emoji issue is on practically every website viewed in Safari. To keep the examples limited I just grabbed a few just to demonstrate the issue is broader than Safari only. Sometimes only part of the emoji's on the same site are shown as they are and some as questionmarks. That happens too.
The emoji used on that page is: 😀 (as in the Firefox screenshot).

It's certainly strange that your Safari can see that emoji fine on this page but not on that Linkedin page. I don't know what would explain that.

Hmmm, seems to be a Safari issue. No probs on Opera, except for the spacing.

Only AdblockPlus, but that's running on Firefox as well and gives no issues there.
PS Are you able to open those .idml files with the bad characters in their names?
Yes, I can open those docs with any problems.
