track pad & Big Sur?

I have an iMac along with the Track Pad. Love it...but when I updated to the latest OS, Big Sur - the track pad quit doing the click & drag. I can't find a setting in the track pad to fix it! Any suggestions?

Macbook pro trackpad not working to select portions of a clip in iMovie I'm using my macbook pro with Big Sur 11.1 installed and using iMovie 10.2.2. I was able to select a portion of a clip in the browser using the r+click+drag on my track pad and it was very glitchy and finicky but I could get it to work up until yesterday. When I press and hold 'r' the small yellow box appears and only sometimes the larger yellow box appears with the handles. but when I try to click and drag the handles, nothing happens. So I can't select any portion of the clip! Any suggestions?

Accidental Click and Drag on MBP Trackpad I'm on my third Macbook Pro now, with a Macbook Pro (15 inch, 2018) running a 2.8 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7. These trackpads are much larger than previous models and it takes some getting used to. Occasionally (while mousing around using the trackpad) I find I'm inadvertently clicking and dragging items on the desktop, or selecting a bunch of stuff and accidentally moving it or relocating it, or worse. Seems like I'm missing a System Preference setting? Does anyone else have this problem? I just changed a setting under Trackpad called CLICK. I set this to FIRM - I forget what the default setting was. Will this stop this problem from happening? Besides using a wired or wireless mouse, any other suggestions that I can try? Thanks!
