Apple Music Problem - Music Mixing Wrong/Sounding Backwards

So I use Apple Music as my choice of music service and I noticed a while ago that what I listen to is sounding wrong. Like when I'm listening to music the backing vocals and audio that is usually quiet in the background is a lot louder and in my face playing through my MacBook Speakers (I have the MacBook Air M1 2020) e.g. R U Mine by Arctic Monkeys has the higher pitched 'Are you mine tonight' vocals underneath, but they are so much louder then the actual singing underneath it (that's meant to be above it), and if you've ever listened to Dethclok you'll know the singing is a lot quieter anyway, so listening to that on Apple Music makes the vocals almost completely inaudible and I have no idea what I can do to fix it as I haven't messed with any of the settings apart from turning on sync cloud library. But I did that well before the problem started occurring.

TMoore311,

Thanks for this additional information. Are we understanding correctly that is happening with music that is downloaded directly to your MacBook as well as music that is being streamed from the Apple Music catalog?

Do the settings in the equalizer look correct? Here's how to adjust those: Adjust the sound quality in Music on Mac

We look forward to seeing any changes you make here.

TMoore311,

We know that the issue is happening only on your MacBook within the Music app. Could you please confirm whether the situation happens with music that is being streamed, downloaded from the Apple Music catalog or both? We'd also like to continue isolating by having you create a test user on your MacBook and testing there as well, be sure you're testing with the same set up. So if the music is being streamed in your main user stream it in the new user and if you're downloading it in your main user, download it.

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

These questions and steps are for isolation. You've given us a lot to go on already by testing on other devices, so we want to finalize the isolating to move forward.

Hello TMoore311,

We understand that when listening to music using your Apple Music subscription on your Mac, you're noticing songs don't sound as you'd expect them to.

Does this happen when listening to the same music on other devices as well or when using a pair of headphones with your Mac? Are these songs ones that were added from the Apple Music catalog or were they ones uploaded to your Mac from another source?

Thanks

I'm a musician myself so we put demos on Apple Music through Logic pro and it happens to them too, but it's only when listening to it through the MacBook speakers, for the record there's nothing wrong with the speakers it sounds perfectly fine through spotify, deezer, youtube etc, it's just apple music where it's odd and only through the MacBook speakers, e.g. cloud library is synced and i play the song from my phone or iMac and it's perfectly fine. Or if i connect my MacBook to my alexa or whatever, sounds fine.
