Canon Printer MG5750 stopped working with M1 chip and can't reinstall

I have had a M1 Mac for over a month and have been using my Canon printer MG5750 with it with no issues. However, it stopped working so I removed it and tried to add it again (also tried the 'Reset printing system'), but it won't appear. I've attached a photo. I've also looked on the Canon site but there are no drivers for the M1. I would appreciate any advice to get it working?

Hello G_Etty,

It sounds like you're experiencing some issues connecting your printer to your Mac with Apple M1 chip. We will be happy to assist you.

It looks like your computer is not seeing the printer on the network. Is there a chance that you may have more than one network? If so, check both networks.

Have you tried restarting the Mac as well or using a new user account? This can let us know if it's isolated to that account:

If the issue persists, let's work through these articles:

In looking at the Canon website, it looks like there is software available for the 5700 series even though the 5750 isn't listed:

PIXMA MG5722 (MG5700 Series)

We hope this helps!

Cheers!
