How to delete or disable the "News" and "Stocks" applications in Big Sur?

Running Big Sur 11.2.3 on a MacBook.

I want to delete/remove the programs called "News" and "Stocks" in the Applications folder, but the operating system won't let me. Can't be moved to the Trash or even moved out of the Applications folder. How can I get rid of them?

Also, at the top edge of my screen, where the menu/battery status/bluetooth/etc. icons are, in the top right corner is today's date and time, and when I click on the date, a popup window thingie appears from the right edge of the screen containing several bubbles, including Messages, Screen Time, Date, Temperature, world time clocks, and "Top Stories." How can I alter/change the array of things that appear when I click the date, in particular delete the "Top Stories" bubble?

It's not possible. Don't use them.

Ah, finding out what that popup-thingie from the right side of the screen is called -- "Notification Center" -- finally allowed me to figure out how to fiddle around with it to delete all the bubbles. Success! Solved. As a result, I also found the "Notifications" pane of "System Preferences" and she that it has a section for "News" and "Stocks" which allowed me to uncheck all notifications for them and then turn them off completely. Whew! Was driving me crazy.

Out of curiosity, why does Big Sur forbid the deletion of these two applications? Aren't users allowed to have or not have whatever applications they want or don't want? I might understand if it was some application that is an essential component of the operating system like "Terminal" or "Disk Utility," but "today's stock market prices" isn't necessary for the computer to function.
