Safari crashing when typing on address/search bar

I have been having trouble with Safari crashing anytime I try to type on the search bar, or even to copy te url address. I was able to get to addresses by typing them in a note and then opening directly into Safari that way. I have cleared Caches, history and all suggestions that I have found here, but nothing has worked. I am working on a MacBook Pro 16" with touchbar, Safari v. 14.0.3. Big Sur 11.2.3

I appreciate any suggestions so I can fix this. Thank you in advance.

Let's try this:

Make sure Safari is closed
Optionally, if you can, i.e. you have nothing important there, empty the Trash. This will make it easier to recover the files in the next step
Open Finder
In the menu, click Go
Click Go to Folder
Type ~/Library/Safari/
Move all the folders and files to Trash (If you haven't emptied the Trash, make a note of the time you trash them as we may need to recover them)
Open Safari and test

If this fails:

Open Trash
Select all folders and files that deleted above (either all the folders and files if you emptied your Trash or, if not, using the time stamp as an indication of which to restore)
Click Put Back

If this works, we need to restore your bookmarks:

Close Safari
Open Trash
Select the Bookmarks.plist file
Right-click it and click Put Back
Open Safari and test

If this now fails, we know the culprit is your bookmark list. You'll need to delete the Bookmarks.plist file in ~/Library/Safari/

Just tried that. It didn't work, either. Same thing, as soon as I clicked on the address bar, boom!, Safari crashed. Thanks for your help, though.

No, I don't think so, I might have turned on Location Services for Safari, sometime before the problem started, but that was it. And I have turned them off and on to see if that fixes the problem, but nada.

I should add, that if I right click on the address/search bar on Safari, it doesn't crash, so I can select copy or whichever. But if only one/left click (or touch with one finger), it crashes immediately. I posted my report (in parts because it wouldn't allow me to post the whole thing because it was too long) from etrecheck already.

Any suggestions?

Hello. Thanks for your advice. I was able to open pages on Safari through a link on a note or from emails, and was also able to click on links in those pages and all opened ok. I proceded to click on the address/search bar (one tap) and it immediately crashed. Then I unchecked the boxes you advised, and proceded to tap on the search bar and again, crashed immediately. It's so annoying!

Aslo, I forgot to add. Every time after Safari crashes and the opened taps reopen as i reopen the program, i have to enter the Apple id. and password to type a reply here, in the discussion groups. I this normal?

Tried opening while holding shift several times. Nothing. Opened a private search window and it also crashed once i started typing on the bar.
