Hello, after updating to iPadOS 14.4.2 my Magic Keyboard for iPad is no longer connecting to my iPad Pro 12.9 inch (3rd Generation) at all. I've tried following other guides to get it to reconnect, but nothing I have tried has worked.

After this problem, I called the Apple support, but none of the followed procedure worked.
So I went to an Apple store and they directly verified that the Magic Keyboard is not working. They also tried the keyboard by attaching it to a different iPad with a previous software (14.0) and it and was not recognized (accessory not supported).
Something happened during the last update (14.4.2) that made it unusable. In my case the Magic Keyboard will be replaced under warranty next week.
After updating to IpadOS 14.6, my Ipad Air 3 smart keyboard quit working. I have tried all the fixes suggested, none of them work. I spent an hour with support and they were completely useless.
Take the smart keyboard in to service is their only answer.
Come-on, Apple. This is a software issue that you have to fix. There are many other similar complaints on the chat boards associated with this problem related to updates.
Well, disregard my previous post. First of all I have a Folio Smart Keyboard, not the Magic. Secondly, engineering says that it needs to be replaced. So, I am coughing up the cash to get a new keyboard. Good luck to you others.
I have the same issue on my ipad 12.9, so frustrating as it just started happening. In face right now im using the onscreen keyboard, since while reading this thread, i recieved that popup saying it is not supported. Apple get this fixed please.
Hello, now with the ios15 update, this same thing is happening to me. I have the same iPad model. Sometimes the magic keyboard connects, but most of them time it doesn’t and spams the notification “Accesorio no compatible” (as in accessory non compatible)
I’ve done the cleaning and updating steps Apple recommended, and it still won’t work

Same problem here, after updating to iPadOS 14.4.2. I tried to reset and to restart, but still not working.

Wow so it’s not just me. Unbelievable. There should not be issues like this arising from an update.
Thanks @MoonJ, but I've already gone through those exact steps at least three times now. Also tried to restart in both of the ways that I know of.
I absolutely agree @Jokipls! It shouldn't happen with any keyboards, but especially not an official Apple one.
This does not work. The keyboard stopped working once the new update went through. Never had any problems till the update.
Same. I’ve wasted 6 hours on these garbage troubleshooting steps.
What’s the holdup apple? This has happened in the past with IOS updates? Just release a fix already geez
So the long and short is that the update bricked all of our magic keyboard peripherals.
I changed the keyboard on Friday 9th April and it still works today
