How to delete an app permanantly 2021

As the title says, I want it off my Home Screen but the only option I have is a fake delete option called remove app, and it goes to the App Library! That doesn’t help me, it still takes up space on my phone. So I go to the App Library, I can only move it back to the home screen! Seriously Apple! The bare basics install/delete not install/headache!!

im pretty clued up navigating an iPhone and I can’t see a way to delete and app on my phone which I downloaded and installed on my phone. This really is stupid. Please screenshot/share this as it won’t get addressed otherwise!

Press and hold - tap x - select delete rather than remove. If the delete option is not there, try this:

Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy Restrictions > iTunes and App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps > Allow ON

Please check: Settings - Screen Time - Content & Privacy Restrictions - iTunes & App Store Purchases - Deleting Apps = Allow.

Perfect it worked. I think there was a scare not long ago about Apple auto deleting your apps and I must have navigated there and had it turned off. Was all my fault all along 😭 apologies Apple
